5th Annual VeronaTogether Charity Cornhole Event

Event Details:

The 5th Annual VeronaTogether Charity Cornhole Tournament - VERONA BAGS BULLYING... TOGETHER!

When: Saturday, September 14th, at 3pm

Where: Verona Town Square

Why: VERONA BAGS BULLING... TOGETHER!

We are thrilled to announce that the 5th Annual VeronaTogether Charity Cornhole Tournament - VERONA BAGS BULLYING... TOGETHER! raised $23,250!

We are proud to share that you raised $23,250 for Mallory's Army at the 5th Annual VeronaTogether Charity Cornhole Tournament. It was a beautiful day that we were honored to share with Dianne and Seth Grossman, the founders of Mallory's Army. Mallory's Army was founded after their daughter, Mallory, committed suicide after excessive bullying in 2017. Dianne, Seth and the Mallory's Army team have been unwavering in their support and leadership at anti-bullying events in communities since that day. We applaud the efforts to Mallory's Army and are happy that the funds you all raised will go directly towards anti-bullying events at schools and community events.

"Behavior is the one thing we can change today that makes the biggest difference. When we can't change those around us, we focus on resilience & emotional intelligence. This teaches us that we may not be able to change others but we can change the way we respond to those around us" said Dianne after the event.

We thank the participants, sponsors and donors of the event that made this possible. The generosity of Verona residents is astounding and we can't thank you enough for the support of every VeronaTogether event.

About VeronaTogether (EIN# 84-3366359)
VeronaTogether was founded in 2018 by five Verona residents who saw both the generosity of the people of Verona as well as the rare and serious disorders affecting many in the community, particularly among children.  VeronaTogether was born based on the knowledge that when asked the Verona community rises to any challenge.  In March of 2020, VeronaTogether will host the 3rd Annual Charity Cornhole Tournament which the first two events have raised over $35,000 for select pediatric charities working to cure a rare disease that not only affects Verona residents but children around the world.  VeronaTogether is a federally recognized 501(c)3 organization.  All donations are tax deductible under applicable law.

4th Annual VeronaTogether Charity Cornhole Event

Event Details:

The 4th Annual Charity Cornhole Tournament is here! We've waited 2 years and we're coming back with our biggest tournament ever.. and it's outside!

When: Saturday, August 27th, at 3pm

Where: Verona Town Square

Why: Verona Fights Cancer!

We are thrilled to announce that the 4th Annual VeronaTogether Charity Cornhole Event (Verona Fights Cancer!) raised $30,208!

The outpouring of love and support for Dominic Cappello and Daria Gebbia has been nothing short of amazing.  As Dominic and Daria are in the midst of a courageous and brave battle against two insidious diseases - Osteosarcoma and Medulloblastoma, our amazing VeronaTogether family came together to show their support on August 27th at the Verona Town Square.  Thank you to the Cappello's and Gebbia's for choosing three amazing charities as the benefactors for this event:  The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF), The Valerie Fund, and the Goryeb Children's Hospital (GHC) of Morristown.  The  Cappello's have been inspired by the PBTFs work towards finding a cure and the Gebbia's have been touched by the care that Daria has received at GCH and the amazing work of the Valerie Fund.  The donation checks were presented as gifts from the Cappello and Gebbia families.

Thank you to the Verona Community and all of our sponsors and donors for coming out in a major way to support this event.  This is an incredible amount of money to raise from one single event, and we appreciate your generosity.

VeronaTogether

“Making a difference, together”

VeronaTogether was founded in 2018 by five Verona residents who saw both the rare and serious disorders affecting many in the community as well as the generosity of the people of Verona, particularly among children.  VeronaTogether was born based on the knowledge that when asked, the Verona community rises to any challenge. Since February of 2018, VeronaTogether has raised over $160,000 for Verona residents and select pediatric charities working to cure a rare disease that not only affects these residents - but also children around the world.

VeronaTogether was created to empower Verona and the surrounding community to raise money for causes that meaningfully affect friends and neighbors.  Our belief is that even small communities like Verona can achieve more than imagined when asked to come together for a cause having an impact on a neighbor's life, particularly the lives of children.

VeronaTogether is a federally approved 501(c)(3) charitable organization run by volunteers, that raises money for other federally approved 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, that have been carefully chosen with the assistance of a local family who has been particularly affected by its work.   The charities chosen by VeronaTogether typically work to cure a severe childhood medical condition and/or to make the lives of those living with the condition more manageable.

Our Credo:

  1. Organize fun and/or competitive events that bring the community together to share in the joy of doing good for another.

  2. Utilize the collective power of our community through volunteerism to flawlessly execute events that maximize participation and fun.
